I was born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta Canada, but now reside in
Bakersfield, California. I have been married to my husband Doug for 32 years
and we are the proud parents of 2 grown children, which classifies us “empty
nesters.”
After leaving Canada, our initial intentions were to stay in California
for 2 years, which has now turned into 13. I became interested in mission
and particularly, Global Teams through my local church, Quest, were I serve
as an Associate Pastor.
I have been helping Michael Jun with Korea mobilization for several years
and have joined Global Teams to continue with the vision of seeing more and
more Koreans taking their place in the call to reach the unreached!
Over time, I have participated in short term mission trips, including
participating on the Catalyst Teaching Team in Korea. One of my greatest
challenges so far is learning to speak Korean
I hold a B.A. in psychology, a professional teaching certificate and I am
currently taking my Master’s in Church Planting (the mind still works-
praise God!) In my spare time I love playing tennis and am learning to lose
gracefully as the years progress.
