Carolyn BenderGlobal Teams Missionary since 1999 From Missionary to Currently on Support Financially I became interested in mission and particularly, Global Teams in about 1990, through my church when we began to support a number of missionaries and over the years as I have served as chair of our missions board. It was through Marc Nikkel and his devotion, journal and intensity, that I fell in love with the Dinka people of southern Sudan. While I was born and continue to live in southern California, my heart is in Africa, especially Sudan. While health problems have limited my physical activities, as a mission mobilizer with Global Teams for Sudan I remain faithful to the people of Sudan as a voice for them in America; upholding them in prayer, speaking on their behalf to organizations within America, and coordinating efforts that bring support and development to this country. |
